Tallow

No.203

A light cream

This illuminating neutral takes its name from the natural material originally used to make candles. Tallow’s pale cream finish reflects the light brilliantly so it is perfect if you want to lift a darker space or paint one colour throughout a property. The slightest hint of pink and yellow pigment creates a warm but fresh feel which is often very popular in nurseries.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: Pointing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this colour After trying a few different colours we decided on a different Farrow & Ball shade. All the samples and final choice were amazing, the pigment density is beyond any other make of paint we have used, also when dry the colour looks amazing. Wish we had discovered Farrow & Ball years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tallow vs New White I tried both tallow and new white in a bathroom will no windows only artificial light. They were pretty similar in color. I would say the tallow is a bit brighter but not lighter with maybe a smidge or peach when looking into the canister. New white had a touch more grey that muted it a hair. They both looked good and would have worked but I went with the Tallow because it looked nicer with my cabinets and countertop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice soft warm neutral pale cream color! I purchased a sample pot of Tallow because I am considering using it as ceiling color with the archived color Double Cream, a warmer red-based cream that complements my warm gray kitchen cabinets with reddish undertones. Any color with too much yellowish, greenish or purplish undertones clash badly with my cabinets, but the red-based tones with a faint red-orangish tone match better. Tallow is the perfect light color to complement Double Cream or Ringwold Ground. It also went on like silk and covered well in two coats

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shade of off white we had our kitchen table and chairs painted in this colour, so wanted to paint our stools in the same. Looks really lovely, a nice warm shade of off white - which looks different in different types of light. Definitely recommend this shade

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly right! I hesitated before trying Farrow and Ball because it is more expensive than my usual brand of paint, but am so glad to have tried it - beautiful colour and quality! Now in my hall, living room and kitchen - will not be going back to the cheaper brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Subtle but perfect I brought this estate emulsion ( never use anything other than F&B) to cover what was a white ceiling. It looks really lovely as is quite subtle and alters depth of colour depending upon lighting.
