Pointing

No.2003

A warm and delicate white

This fresh and uncomplicated white is named after the colour of lime pointing used in traditional brickwork. One of our Red Based Neutrals, Pointing has a warm undertone to it which creates the prettiest of spaces when used on walls and always softens the feel of a room alongside strong, traditional colours.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: Wimborne White

Pointing is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 100.

Product Information
ECO-FRIENDLY AND CHILD-SAFE

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our 132 paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

SAFETY INFORMATION

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful and warm. A warm white finish, great for areas wanting warmth added. Seems to reflect the light more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good combination of paints to give a modern twist to a 200 yr old property. I used F&B primer/undercoat and Pointing on the door frames and skirting. On the walls I used Joa's White and Rectory Red. As the walls were new plaster they had a primer and undercoat. Joa's white had two coats while Rectory Red needed three to get the depth of colour. I'm very pleased with the result. Joa's white is taupe in colour and goes well with the red.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Limewash It’s always a pleasure finding limewash already pigmented. I remember the days of sieving the stuff through tights and then adding pigments. You’d never know what final colour you were going to get as it’s never the true colour until it’s dry. F&B have made it easy with several colours now available (thank goodness). Pointing is a light but warm colour which gives a nice clean finish when used properly. Limewashing is a ffaf. But if that’s what your wall has to have then look no further than the F&B range. Never fails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb paint I found the paint to be a joy to apply with no runs and after drying the paint fell completely flat. I was able to touch up scratches and blemishes invisibly after the paint had dried. The paint is very expensive when compared to more popular makes but it's worth the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sunny colour This colour really lightened my "old chapel" which doesn't get much sunlight. My first time using Farrow and Ball...I'm converted!
