James White

No.2010

An off white with a slight green hue

This off white was first created for the pretty garden room of a discerning Dr James with a fresh underlying green tone. The slightest hint of green creates a calm, soothing and airy feel which is particularly useful for darker interiors. When used with no contrasts, James White transforms the space into the most light and tranquil of rooms, so it is often favoured in the bedrooms of the super stressed. It will look greener when used in contrast with All White and in north facing rooms.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

ECO-FRIENDLY AND CHILD-SAFE

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

SAFETY INFORMATION

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Customer Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning! We bought this colour for our cottage living room to accompany the gable print wallpaper and I am so pleased with the result! Initially, I was worried it may be slightly too cool tone due to the green hue, but it isnt! Such a relaxing colour and beautiful finish, reinforcing my love for F&B products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colour This off white really changes in different lights. I have used it in my hall way and on stairs with Blue Gray as an accent. The colour has a greenish hue that is warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Subtle colour We used James White modern emulsion on our kitchen walls, new cupboards were painted in Skimming Stone Estate Eggshell. James White has lovely finish which is so easy to wipe down, yet still has almost matt finish. Changes subtly in different lights. Lasts longer without losing style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish This is my first time using F@B paint. I bought the James White paint for my living room. The green is very subtle and brightens up quite a dark space. I bought the modern emulsion which still looks quite matt but not too flat. The colour is really classic and fresh. I’m really pleased with the end result and will definitely us F@B again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I didn't expect to like this so much! I bought James White for my daughter's playroom to work alongside Arsenic. I thought this would just be a fairly dull off-white with a hint of green, but it's actually a really lovely calming colour, and it does work beautifully with Arsenic. It seems to reflect light really well, and has really added to the brightness I was looking for in the room. Would highly recommend. Would be lovely in a kitchen or conservatory.
