Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fabulous white, but watch batch matching We've lived with Great White for some years now. I absolutely love it. Never tire of it. It's a great colour if you're just not sure what you want. We have it downstairs in areas that face all points of the compass and it changes constantly. Perfect for mercurial characters who can't decide what they want! In some areas/times of day it looks grey, others stone, others the merest hint of pink (but in no way pink-y!). The only thing to watch is we recently bought some more and the new Great White does not match the old Great White, nor does the new pot match Farrow and Ball's own sample swatches (which are meant to match). So be careful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strange and slightly magical colour I've used a fair few F&B shades, but Great White has to be the most interesting. It changes colour with the day, with the wall it's on, with the light being used. In bright light, it looks almost white (despite the name it's NOT a white: not in a true sense); in shaded or candlelit rooms it glows pink/blush; in north facing rooms it is definitely lilac. Facing away from a window it goes grey. I've found that you have to be quite careful what you pair it with and can be a tad "girly" but with whites and blacks to balance it out it's really pretty, calm and a bit magical. As always, the quality of F and B is amazing: no drips, no smell, just lovely chalky finish. Love it.
