Bancha

No.298

A protective olive green

This mid-century modern green is a darker version of the much loved archive colour, Olive. Perfect for those who want to embrace stronger colour in the home, its sober tone creates rooms that feel calm and serene - especially when combined with soft pinks and browns. Named after Japanese tea leaves, Bancha, like a cup of green tea, provides a feeling of security.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Shaded White

Bancha is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 31.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic finish and look. Got the paint (Bancha No. 298) yesterday for my downstairs cloakroom. Best paint I have ever used and very good quality finish. It was worth every penny. I will very highly recommend it to anyone willing to spend a bit more for the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful finish Painted our new kitchen this colour, we get plenty of light in the room and it looks fantastic. F&B was indeed worth the extra cost, the finish is impeccable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rich Olive I'm so happy I chose this olive green. We wanted a rich and comforting colour in our bedroom and I'm so impressed with Bancha. The colour changes beautifully during the day and depending on how the light hits the walls, you can see hints of blue and then later in the day hints of yellow. I've paired it with All White as we have a 1980's build and wanted a graphic look. The estate emulsion gives a stunningly rich, velvet finish. I'll definitely use Farrow and Ball paints to redecorate the rest of my flat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant Brilliant. Arrived very quickly after ordering. Colour exactly what I was looking for. No strong smell. Easy to work with and clean off. Good coverage with just two coats. Nice even finish. You get what you pay for. Only comment is that colour tester was only available in one type/finish which I was concerned about but all worked out ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colour Bought bancha based on reviews, was quite worried at first because it was such a change from the previous colour, lamp room grey. But I love it! It works well with the fire place and I found ochre cushions a nice accessory. Only down side is it literally took 4 coats! And I still have a few patchy areas to touch up.
