Farrow & Ball Around the World

Farrow & Ball paint and wallpaper can be found all over the world, not just in our stockists and showrooms, but proudly adorning the walls of cultural institutions and creative hotspots. From Paris’ Musée Rodin to New York City’s MoMA, you can find our colours providing the perfect backdrop.

National Portrait Gallery

London, UK

British paint and paper expert Farrow & Ball is proud to have supported the relaunch of the National Portrait gallery, which reopened in June 2023. The project, a comprehensive refurbishment of the building, showcases new galleries and public spaces adorned in Farrow & Ball signature colours.

Joa Studholme, Colour Curator for Farrow & Ball, worked with the teams to create a palette of colours to complement the portraits on display in each room including Green Smoke, Brinjal, Charleston Gray and Cornforth White.

Each of the nine galleries located on the second floor, known as the Blavatanik Wing, are painted with light and artwork taken into consideration.

Museum Ludwig

Cologne, Germany

We’re delighted that for the first time in years, the usually white walls of Museum Ludwig are filled with Farrow & Ball colour as part of a bold new exhibition: Ursula – That’s Me. So What? To create a backdrop that celebrates iconic artist Ursula’s extraordinary way with colour, without fighting the array of bold tones in her pieces, the museum has chosen nine shades to strike the perfect balance.

Ursula – That’s Me. So What? is open to visitors from 18th March to 23rd July 2023.

MoMA

New York City, NY, US

The palette for MoMA’s six-storey galleries was carefully chosen by a team of MoMA curators and our own colour experts to subtly reference and enhance the pieces in situ, whether it be blue-black Railings to balance the stark intensity of the Bauhaus school or Cabbage White to embody the delicacy of Monet’s Water Lilies.

Vital Voices

Washington D.C, US

Vital Voices is an American international, non-profit, non-governmental organization that works with women leaders in the areas of economic empowerment, women's political participation, and human rights. We collaborated with interior designer Ashley Maddox to adorn their headquarters with a Farrow & Ball palette that spoke their most foundational values, from Incarnadine – a bold shade representing equally bold ideas and actions – to the grounding Calke Green, signifying strong community roots.
