Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Victorian stable yard brought back to life The Rectory Red is being used for a major refurb of the doors in a Victorian stable yard. The best indicator of how well things have gone is the reaction of numerous people who have seen the results. "Wow", "Lovely red" etc etc. All these comments have been spontaneous and unsolicited. The commenters have ranged from a fishman to a professiunal artist. Rectory Red will soon be going onto the front door of the main house as well, and I expect even more favourable comments. Ease of use is excellent, but someone new to this paint will have to learn to work quickly: if you hang around it is easy to get a dead edge. Even so the casual observer will not notice it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great colour but awful application The colour is a gorgeous red which I am totally in love with and that is the only reason why we kept with the redecorating, but if I had to do another room in red, I would go with an alternative in Dulux. It took us 5 coats to get the right colour. Despite the 5 coats, the walls still have streaks and flashes. The walls have finished curing 9 months ago, however if something is leaning against the wall the paint peels off... I have to keep touching up the walls. This is extremely poor quality and as a first user of Farrow and Ball I am extremely disappointed. My partner used to be a professional decorator, so our walls were adequately prepared. Our only mistake was to not used a red/warm undercoats.
