Plummett

No.272

A lighter lead

This strong architectural grey is named after the lead often used by fishermen to weight their lines. Plummett intensifies in colour in smaller spaces and has a strikingly modern feel which is conducive to minimal living. Used as much on woodwork to define dramatic spaces as it is on walls, Plummett is one of our most hard-edged and industrial feeling greys.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Ammonite

Plummett is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 104.

ECO-FRIENDLY AND CHILD-SAFE

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite colour! I love this colour------have already used it in my kitchen and a guest bedroom but ran out near the end(hence the need for a tester pot)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Quality I was initially hesitant to purchase this as I have not used Farrow and Ball before and it is more expensive than usual purchases. However I am delighted that I did, the quality is superb, it just glides on and the finish is exquisite. I was so impressed that I purchased another paint in a different shade of grey.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Face lift for 16 year old console table I recently painted an old Laura Ashley console table in eggshell plummet paint. It was originally a cream MDF table. I gently sanded the table & then used FB wood floor primer & undercoat darker tones first. The table required 2 coats of the plummet. With new chrome drawer knobs. I am very happy with the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks like a new front door I am so pleased with the plummet exterior eggshell paint. I used the darker tones primer & undercoat first followed by 2 coats of eggshell on my composite front door. I had a few quotes of £3000- £3500 for a replacement front door. We spent a few hundred pounds with the paint & door furniture . My sister in law thought we had paid for a new front door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good coverage for sample size Ordered 2 sample sizes of different colours as we wanted a full grey gloss . Found we definitely did the right thing as Plummet was darker than we needed but still a beautiful deep grey. We went for the Manor House Grey our other sample choice. Purely preferred a lighter shade. Both pots were ample in size to get a good comparison.
