Pale Powder

No.204

A gentle aqua

Our most popular shade of aqua is a lighter version of an archived Farrow & Ball colour, Powder Blue. Pale Powder has an unparalleled softness and in north facing rooms can read almost as a delicate grey, but it is rarely cold due to the addition of green pigment. It is a great favourite for use in pretty attic bedrooms where it can be brushed onto both ceiling and walls to create an airy feeling of light and space.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: Pointing

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our 132 paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pale powder emulsion Nice delicate shade, took 2 coats to cover the magnolia underneath but looks great in the new conservatory

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not happy with the colour I relied on the Farrow and Ball recommendations for the colour to go well with the walls that I painted my kitchen in being the blue/grey. In my opinion it looks washed out against it but this could be due to light changes in different rooms - I wish I had gone with my own judgement as I've now spent £37 including delivery on someting that won't be used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour - more depth than we expected! We chose Pale Powder for my baby's nursery. I fancied something not too blue, and this aqua colour seemed perfect. It looks beautiful on the walls and is a lovely soft colour for a nursery. It's even more interesting a colour than I thought it would be - I would definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent finish, not easy to achieve Well worth the effort of multiple coats and sanding in between. The finish is exceptional, and we used a roller. We sanded using P400 wet and dry and I think with another sand a coat it would be close to flawless. The smell is minimal and coverage is great. Remember the working time is reduced, especially in warm areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and light Aqua I ordered quite a few samples and chose the pale powder colour after all for painting a part of my living room. It looks great on the wall!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tranquil We've painted the walls Pale Powder in the master bedroom and teamed it with Wimborne White skirting. I love how the colour changes throughout the day. It changes from the palest soft bluey grey to a powdery blue shade. Sometimes it looks almost off-white. The room feels very relaxed and airy in this shade. Very happy with our choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pale powder eggshell, great coverage on waxed furniture Used on a pair of pine bedside cupboards which had previously been waxed. Surfaces were well sanded & thoroughly cleaned with white spirit and used the recommended F&B primer. Painted several items of furniture with F&B in the past, was doubtful whether same method would work for waxed furniture but needn't have worried. Took 3 coats of primer & 3 topcoats , but found this to be the norm. Always worry about brush marks using so many layers of paint, but this also has never been a problem. Very pleased with finished result, works well with Ringwold ground emulsioned walls & White tie eggshell woodwork and duck egg blue accents in my bedroom.
