Mole's Breath

No.276

A moody grey

A timeless grey whose name takes its roots from the much loved Elephant's Breath, this moody hue is inspired by a smaller, furrier animal. Mole's Breath is the most versatile of our stronger accents as it can be used both with Easy Neutrals like Purbeck Stone and Contemporary Neutrals like Strong White. It is particularly effective to ground kitchen islands and when used on the walls of smaller spaces to create a fabulously sullen yet warm room.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Ammonite

Mole's Breath is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 73.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This colour is amazing - sometimes grey sometimes a moody blue We have used this colour on a panelled wall and fireplace and it’s stunning - the colour is so rich and every time I look at it I pick out a new tone - this is the reason why you buy the real F&B paint - please don’t colour match it’s just not the same - if you want to see how the colour turned out for me you can find me on Instagram @onlyfoolsnhouses - best paint ever

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant result We bought this in exterior masonry paint for accent areas on windowsills to contrast with warm cream walls, and the result has been superb. The finish is superb and the colour is beautifully subtle and understated and has given us just the result we had been hoping for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great final finish I went for modern eggshell for internal doors. Great to work with. Final result was the perfect grey I was looking for not too dark to enclose the hallway & not too light. Nice sheen for bouncing the light around. Now using what’s left on the stairs & furniture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from repeat order I bought initially as it said, the colour 'grounded' base units, and it does, its worth it to add that element alone. It gave me grown up looking finished off kitchen units. It is so much more though, its subtle and a great background, I have now used it on free standing cupboards, excluding the wooden tops, very now ! where it sets off accessories, picture frames, and the metal work on one of the large skeleton clocks, which was too dominant in black. Easy to use great results every time.
