London Stone

No.6

A warm and timeless brown

A warm mid brown, London Stone was created by John Sutcliffe for a classic Nash house in Regent’s Park. With its underlying magenta tones, this unassuming stone colour is the perfect accent for each of our Red Based Neutrals. It feels effortlessly modern when contrasted with Dimity, either on walls or woodwork, and utterly timeless when paired with the stronger Oxford Stone.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Mid Tones

Complementary white: Joa's White

London Stone is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 78.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paint like double cream It was a decision to use London stone or Oxford stone. Both were big contenders. Went with the London stone. Couldn’t be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like silk I had already painted my living room door in this 12 years ago. I loved it then and love it now that I’ve repainted it in the same colour, London Stone. The paint itself is beautiful and goes on easily - like silk. It doesn’t drip and has a beautiful sheen. I used full gloss this time (eggshell last time) and I love it - not too shiny but looks very rich.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and Style I bought this paint to decorate a study and the colour is perfect for the sort of library feel I wanted to evoke. As ever the cover quality is brilliant and I love the matt look and feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous paint I bought London stone estate emulsion and eggshell to decorate our bedroom in our 1920s home. We always use farrow and ball, it’s such gorgeous paint and you just don’t get colours with depth and beauty like theirs any where else. London stone is stunning, deep rich browny, grey, not too light and not too dark, perfect and as with all paints, the depth of colour changes throughout the day as the light changes. I know it’s more expensive than other paints, but it’s so worth the extra. Your room is transformed and gives pleasure for many years. Will never trust other paints.
