Light Blue

No.22

A light silvery blue

This silvery blue was so named because it was the lightest blue Farrow & Ball made in its first collection of colours. Light Blue becomes a little more silver in tone when used in shaded areas so is very popular for use on the walls of internal halls, especially when the remainder of the house is painted in cooler, more neutral greys. When used in well lit areas it feels both peaceful and calming, especially when paired with a cool white like Blackened.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Mid Tones

Complementary white: Strong White

Light Blue is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 129.

ECO-FRIENDLY AND CHILD-SAFE

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not blue and not light The colour is actually a dull grey moss green, but I love it in my tiny bathroom, goes beautiffuy with shadow white. all the emulsions are odour free and easy to use, but modern emulsion needs about four coats and does mark easily

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely colour I bought this to paint Victorian bedroom and was concerned it might be a bit silvery And not as blue as name suggests however it covered previous colour brilliantly and the colour is a lovely blue/green which is very much in keeping with the house

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality Name is confusing, as it’s not really blue as such, a beautiful blue/grey/green, depending on its surroundings. I used the modern eggshell on an awful 70s bannister rail and bookcase in the hall. It went on so well with a roller and gives a great finish. My only slight gripe is that I had to touch up a very small area where carpet fitters had marked near the floor.. This made a third coat and it’s so much lighter on the third, which would be very noticeable higher up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colour I bought this to patch up a part of wall in my bathroom which is already painted this colour. It has been this colour for years and each time I think of changing it I always decide to stay with this colour as I love it so much.
