Light Blue

No.22

A light silvery blue

This silvery blue was so named because it was the lightest blue Farrow & Ball made in its first collection of colours. Light Blue becomes a little more silver in tone when used in shaded areas so is very popular for use on the walls of internal halls, especially when the remainder of the house is painted in cooler, more neutral greys. When used in well lit areas it feels both peaceful and calming, especially when paired with a cool white like Blackened.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Mid Tones

Complementary white: Strong White

Light Blue is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 115.

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this colour I chose this colour from both the F&B overview for hall use and also customer feedback. It is quite a change from my usual choice but I absolutely love it and have now decided to upgrade my living room which leads from the hallway and now looks tired. The paint is really easy to use both with a roller and brush. Two coats resulted in a good depth of colour. My hall is quite dark due to windows only in the doorway, this colour just works perfectly and it's interesting to see the subtle colour change from light blue to a slightly green tinge in different lights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Calming colour Love F&B paint, this is such a calm colour, blue and green in tone depending on the light. Strong enough to make a statement but not overpowering in our small study. Really pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised! This colour was recommended to me by a friend but when I tried the tester pot I was unimpressed. Having also been advised to buy the undercoat I went ahead a bought the paint. I’m so glad I did because the finished result is amazing. I love it! The colour has depth is chalky in finish and changes colour during the day and night. Glad I followed the recommendation and thank you Eleanor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The estate eggshell is perfect finish ! We have used this light blue in Estate Eggshell in our listed Georgian home and it is perfect! It really pops when teamed with a gold detail and if the perfect french feel blue grey! We have wasted so much time and money using other brands that promised us rip off F&B colours , only to have such an inferior and awful finish, that we finally splashed out for the real deal, and oh what a difference! The stupid builders said its no different but it certainly is, so we will never use anything else now, and we are currently re-repainting everything we've done before in other brands that we hated the finish of!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely paint I have used Farrow & Ball paint for many years. Beautiful colour choices - gorgeous finish and lasts years. I painted my stairs and landing in Light Blue - modern emulsion. I am extremely happy with the result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bluey/Greeny/Grey I'm in love with this colour, it's exactly what I've had in my mind. It's not light blue as it suggests but if you like a period BlueyGreen that i was after for our victorian home its gorgeous!! I have shown it on Chimney breast & Bathroom photos and will be using it again. We have it here next to Slipper Satin in the pics. Very cosy under electric lamps in the evening ❤

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had a very good experience We [along with many others] have been locked down and decided to give the kitchen a facelift. We always use Farrow and Ball paint as it is so satisfying to use and beautiful in result that we have never been moved to use anything else.
