A dark blue grey
This aged blue grey is inspired by the naturally dramatic Scottish skies that act as a backdrop for the classic Georgian Inchyra House. It can be found on the exterior doors of their very impressive byre or barn which nestles at the bottom of a rather grey and imposing brae (also known as a hill). Such is the magic of our colours, this moody hue can read more grey, blue or even green depending on the light. A great alternative to charcoal, use it to inject a hint of colour into a super contemporary home or create a dark and intimate feel by combining it with Black Blue or Vardo.

A rich elusive colour
I bought this paint to add a bold colour to the panelling in the kitchen. I ordered modern eggshell which has a subtle sheen to it without being too glossy. The colour itself is ever changing, shifting from a blue-green to a green-grey and everything in between depending on the changeable light levels here in Edinburgh. Thouhh the camera always seems to pick up more green! It looks absolutely gorgeous.
The panelling generally guzzles paint but the coverage was excellent and I only needed to do a very light second coat. I still have a small amount left over for future touch ups from a 750ml which covered 6.25m² (twice)

Immersive!
Okay so a couple of matters here!
1. I was always dubious about Farrow and Ball paint mainly due to the cost. However a good friend convinced me it was the way to go for the redecoration of my old 17th century house. So this was my first purchase!
2. The quality of the paint has no comparison and I have used many products in the past. The colour is rich and enveloping. The paint coverage is superb with a high quality finish.
I’m yet to finish the room so I will forward a couple of photographs in due course. Needless to say I’m now a convert and have already ordered products for the remainder of the house!
