Hague Blue

No.30

A deep dark blue

This strong blue takes its name from the fantastically coloured woodwork much used by the Dutch, and still works wonderfully to ground skirtings or as an accent colour on the walls when teamed with Borrowed Light. The green undertones of this timeless, deep and dramatic blue means it sits as happily outside as it does in small dark rooms.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Old White

Hague Blue is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 501.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeously rich and classy I decided to paint the exterior of my red brick cottage, ie window sills, garage doors in this exquisite shade of teal blue. It looks its best when the skies are thunderous on a rainy summer's day, ie today in August!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luxurious I smothered our den in Hague blue and I’m obsessed. Walls, ceiling, trim, doors. Everything. Only complaint is that it does show scuffs on the doors, so I’d stay away from using on high traffic areas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hague Bleautiful I love, love love the colour, it is dark and rich, the upside to the paint/colour is that it is very matt and goings on lovely and flat, we did get the wall replastered first as the builder said that any lumps and bumps will show up with this colour, the downside is that it is almost chalky and scuffs very easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mantel Makeover I was looking for a way to put some drama back into my dated fireplace and wow did I find it! The deep refined look of Hague Blue inspired a whole new update for my family room. Other star players were Hay on the walls, and House White for moulding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like My dining room is a restaurant! Finally embraced the darkish side and I LOVE it! In this room it’s paired with Wimborne White… has really modernised the whole room whilst not being dark at all. Wouldn’t paint the whole room with it though, would be too much IMO.
