Green Blue

No.84

Quite simply green blue

This chameleon colour needs no other name, it is exactly what it says – sometimes blue and sometimes green depending on the changing light throughout the day. Green Blue is a great favourite for family bathrooms, as the soft green adds warmth while the light blue brings a certain freshness. Try pairing with Pale Powder walls as a lighter accent.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Mid Tones

Complementary white: Pointing

ECO-FRIENDLY AND CHILD-SAFE

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely medium tone Bought this to use with Pavilion Blue, which I’ve used on 11’ high walls and ceiling of my hall. We have high inset archways over doors, so I’ve painted the back of the arches, around the doors in Green Blue, and used a pale silvery grey gloss on skirtings and architraves. This sets off the Green Blue gloss on the hall doors. It all looks lovely. The paint was a pleasure to use, and so great not to have fumes hanging about. I’ve also repainted my north facing cloakroom in Pink Ground for walls, with Setting plaster above the picture rails and on ceiling. They're wonderful colours for a north facing room, being warm, but fairly pale, and have transformed an unwelcoming room into something much better. I used the same pale silvery grey on all the woodwork. I think it’s called Blackened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got it covered. Great paint, good coverage and although water based it paints like oil based, but a lot easier to clean up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking for Chartwell Green We were looking for Chartwell Green, to match our (old traditional) front door, with new powder sprayed garage doors. Tried Breakfast Room Green (too dark) then Green Blue (too light). Eventually got the PERFECT match by mixing 50/50 of the two colours together

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exact match for original We found the original Victorian wall paint after the wallpapers were stripped: Green blue is the exact shade to replace the original.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing colour After buying the sample I went ahead and bought 2.5l to paint my kitchen ceiling this colour. It's beautiful and changes so much throughout the day. Sometimes a really calm green, sometimes almost sky blue and sometimes a lovely moody grey. I think it needs 3 coats to get a really dense coverage but it's absolutely worth the work.
