Dimpse

No.277

A cool and delicate grey

Dimpse is a delicate grey named after the quaint West Country dialect for the colour of twilight and is one of our cooler Architectural Neutrals. Sitting between Pavilion Gray and Blackened, its subtle blue undertones work particularly well in modern architectural spaces. Brush onto kitchen units alongside a Down Pipe island for a clean finish that is conducive to minimal living.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: All White

Dimpse is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 122.

ECO-FRIENDLY AND CHILD-SAFE

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

QUALITY FINISHES

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice colour and more durable than estate Was using the estate emulation which looks amazing but marks to easy for a hallway. Used this in the hallway and its not marked yet. Love this colour too as a neutral tone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colours We have bought several paints from Farrow and Ball and love all of the colours. We have painted walls and radiators. They all look fabulous. They do need two full coats to get the full intensity of the colours and we love how the colours change with different light. Definitely advise sample pots to check out how different lighting effects the colours m.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage great colour Just moved house and the kitchen cabinets needed a ‘spruce’ up. The colour is lovely very subtle blue/grey hints not as stark as bright white - but still light & bright. The coverage is fantastic & I only had to do one coat. Lovely!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dimpse/Blackened sample pots I bought these colours recently to try underneath the dado rail in my hallway. Although Dimpse is a lovely shade I felt Blackened worked better in the hallway because of the light. I subsequently ordered 2.5l of estate emulsion and today gave the walls a first coat so cannot comment yet on the finished result.
