Dead Salmon

An aged salmon pink

A subtle shade whose name refers to the flat or ‘dead’ finish of an aged pink painted at Kedleston Hall in 1805, Dead Salmon has a magical quality to it as everyone sees it differently. Be it a strong mushroom steeped in history, or a warming buff neutral, this deep salmon pink creates the most subtle and serene of environments suitable as a backdrop in candlelit dining rooms.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Red & Warm Tones

Complementary white: Dimity

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely colour, fabulous finish. Great colour, depth and changes with the light. It's perfect in my lounge and I have teamed it with a statement wall (chimney breast) using William Morris, Artichoke wallpaper in wine. I swing between disbelief and extreme self-congradulation at the overall aesthetics of the finished result.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour Absolutely love dead salmon. In my north facing room it’s a dusky pink, in fact it’s what I hoped SRP would have been. It’s so warm and cosy. Needed 2 and a bit coats so buy plenty

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous colour and excellent paint I had a sample of dead salmon on the wall for a month before committing to it for the bedroom. It came out absolutely perfectly in two coats and looks stunning in the small bedroom. It’s a really multi-dimensional colour (sometimes looks taupe, sometimes browny, sometimes blush pink and in direct sunlight, almost whiteish). and it looks absolutely fantastic with the white and black furniture in the room. Would thoroughly recommend the colour and F&B paint

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern emulsion perfect for the bath We bought 4 liters of estate finish for the bathrooms; it's so dry here in Arizona that even our baths dry quickly. It was a disaster --- long tear-stains anywhere we hung a wet towel or flicked a little water. Then we read about finishes and tried modern emulsion. We couldn't be more pleased. The paint is easy to apply (As it should be after two coats of estate emulsion!) and has a rich color and lovely sheen. Better yet, no streaking. Next time I'll read the instructions and match the finish to the room.
