A pale and traditional blue

This pale blue grey takes its name from the soft natural light that often pours through ceiling skylights. However, it is less reflective than Borrowed Light, reading as a definite cool blue when used in small spaces but becoming paler and greyer when used in larger areas.

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skylight living room I spend a lot of time deliberating over which colour to choose and eventually decided on Skylight. I am absolutely delighted with the result, our living room has been transformed. The colour is beautiful, appearing blue at times and grey at other times depending on the light. I was a bit worried after only one coat that I wouldn’t like the colour but it looks fantastic after a second coat. So glad I chose this colour

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changed our Lounge completely Revamping the lounge, we chose F&B wall & ceiling primer, Modern Eggshell Skylight No.205 for 3 walls; Pointing Estate Emulsion Pointing No.2003 for the ceiling, one wall, skirting and door frames. Estate Eggshell Oval Room Blue No.85 for the beams and painted the lounge pvc window frame with PVC primer and skylight. We are so happy with the result and have even ordered wood shutters in the skylight colour too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Calming colour We have just painted our living room from wimborne white to skylight. This paint changes depending on light from a pale grey to blue then to a lovely shade of green. This room is North South facing, 3m x 4m in size and always felt dark. This colour has a lovely restful calming feel and as you can see is in a modern house. They room isn't finished but we love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect tranquil colour Firstly I tried couple of match pots and compared them in different lights. Skylight is perfect in our bedroom, a tranquil colour which varies at different times of the day from a true pale blue through to a grey blue. Good coverage with 2 coats despite our lumpy walls! Very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A surprisingly complicated blue In my west-facing bedroom Skylight appeared to be somewhat of a chameleon. Neutral pale blue in one light, unmistakably grey in another, sometimes even almost yellowy, with a proper warmth to it. Sometimes it is calming, other times - quietly invigorating. Looks wonderfully with dirty orange, moss green, lemony yellow, cream.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most soothing blue I wanted a soothing, happy color that would go with my gray marble fireplace and match my kitchen that I painted with Green Ground. This was perfect! it’s a gorgeous color, more on the blue side than gray at least in my Room with windows south, west and east. as always this paint goes on beautifully without any Odor. Hooked
