A warm grey with lilac undertones
Dove Tale is a darker version of Elephant's Breath and is perfect for those who are hoping for a warm grey finish. Typical of the colours used by the bohemian Bright Young Things between the wars, it is the perfect choice for the bedroom as its gentle lilac undertone creates a soft and inviting feel. Pair with Skimming Stone for the most flattering and subtle scheme.

Modern and sophisticated...I love it!!
I am a big fan of F&B paint on my walls. The depth of colour is fabulous and Dove Tale was no exception. I confess I was worried after the first coat went on...it looked awful mainly due to the strong yellow that it was covering but I’m so glad I kept the faith...the second coat transformed the room. There is a lilac tint to Dove Tale but that added a warmth to our north facing dining room. I don’t usually put photos of purchases online but I struggled to find many photos of this colour before I chose it so I hope this helps at least one person. as you can tell, I love it!!

A calming influence
We recently moved in a Victorian villa where the previous owners had painted the 2 large chimney breasts in the living room a rather vivid burgundy. The room is large but not so large to carry this off. We wanted to pick out the chimney breasts as features, but not to have them dominate the room. The rest of the walls are a pale grey.
This colour worked perfectly for that purpose. It's warm and elegant but allows us to bring colour to the room through paintings and soft furnishings. Our decorator was impressed with the paint and the coverage and managed to finish the job (including undercoat) in less than 24 hrs.
