A very pale taupe

Dimity is named after the lightweight cotton fabric originally used to make ladies’ bustles, but which is now more commonly used for bedding. One of our Red Based Neutrals, this pale and subdued taupe is brimming with warmth and an unmatchable depth, making it perfect for elegant and understated hallways. It can be combined with All White and Pointing to read pinker, or with the darker Oxford Stone on woodwork for a slightly aged look and relaxed feel.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: Pointing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interesting colour… After having multiple samples on the wall and mulling it over for a week or so I finally set on Dimity for the living room walls and purchased 2 5L tins. After completing the room I decided after a few days I just didn’t like it. It has a beige warm feeling to it in the evening which I loved but in the morning/afternoon sun it had way too much of a baby pink look to it which threw the look of the whole room off. Unfortunately I didn’t notice how intense the pink tone was until it was on all the walls. Expensive mistake to make! This was also my first time using F&B and I have to say it was an absolute pleasure. I’m converted! Impressed with the colour choice, application and how far the paint goes. Far superior finish to other well known brands!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dimity exterior masonry paint Considered various F&B neutrals for the facade of our house before finally deciding on Dimity. We’re so pleased with our decision - it really complements the roof tiles and contrasts nicely with the white details around the windows. The customer service team were really helpful when we needed to source the paint at short notice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing colour We wanted something light for our master bedroom and front living room but did not want a normal cream look, we tested some samples and decided to go with Dimity as it gave that creamy beige look. Tried the sample with both brush and roller and both gave different look, brush gave darker look and roller gave it a slight light look. Best to try it out with both. Now that the rooms have been painted it is exactly how it looks on the tin and very smooth. I would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect We decided to go for a neutral wall colour and chose Dimity for its warmth. Paired with all white beams it is subtle enough to allow us to add lots of colour around it. Also, so east to apply after using the undercoat. Love it. A+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dimity Have chosen Dimity to compliment a red feature wall. Just right for softening the walls in a light attic space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Look very different on the wall. Looked much more sand coloured than expected in the room I used it in. Nice colour but if your looking for a more stone colour I would suggest skimming stone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very light (it's white) We have Dimity as the main wall colour in our living/kitchen (with Radiccio on the end walls, and Oxford Stone on the woodwork; Pointing on the ceiling). It's unmistakably white, although with a touch of warmth. Because it's white my husband likes it, but...I don't like white walls and I think it would have been better to put the Dimity on the ceiling, and for the walls - Joa's White, which is still "white" but less so.
