A cool mid grey

This classic mid grey was originally created for a bespoke pavilion, but is also reminiscent of an elegant 18th century Swedish colour. One of the Architectural Neutrals, the subtle blue undertones of Pavilion Gray add a contemporary touch and sense of spaciousness. Combine with Dimpse, Blackened or Manor House Gray in any combination for a scheme that is perfect for the modern family home.

Key features

The finest ingredients

The finest ingredients

We’re dedicated to perfecting the art of paint. At our home in Dorset, we combine the finest ingredients, 75 years of experience and technical precision to help you create beautiful spaces that stay beautiful. Even in our colour rich paints, less than 8% of the tin is the colour. The other 92% is what creates the quality, depth and extraordinary response to light that transforms your home.

Paint is like coffee. The colour is the froth on the top, but it’s the quality of the rest of the cup that makes it taste good.
– Richard Ball, Farrow & Ball Co-founder

We use twelve exclusive pigments, all specifically selected for their colour intensity. We take colour seriously, so naturally, we only accept the very best. By using these same pigments to make every colour in our palette, all our shades combine effortlessly, making it easy for you to put together a cohesive colour scheme.

Deeper, richer colours

Deeper, richer colours

Packed with pigment for an extraordinary response to every kind of light.

We add generous helpings of rich pigment to create our signature look – deep colours with complex undertones. The same space that feels bright and airy in morning sun, can feel cosy and intimate by evening. Our teams design each shade under every kind of light, so it will be perfectly balanced in every setting.

Extraordinary response to light

Extraordinary response to light

We spend months carefully crafting and testing each of our paint colours to make sure they share our signature extraordinary response to light. This beautiful reaction to changing light, like bringing out different undertones or shifting intensity, is what makes our paint so special.

Interior and exterior finishes

Interior and exterior finishes

From walls, floors and furniture to radiators, skirtings and sheds, our range of paint finishes can help you transform almost any surface in your home (and outside it, too).

We even have multi-surface finishes like Dead Flat and Full Gloss, so you can tackle walls, woodwork and metal at the same time.

Our comprehensive range is comprised of paint finishes that not only look beautiful, but offer different practical benefits. Designed for a variety of different surfaces, each finish is compatible with our high-performance Primers & Undercoats to ensure exceptional coverage, adhesion and depth of colour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage and colour Amazing light grey bought in dead flat and estate eggshell both are really nice but slightly prefer the estate eggshell,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Stuff! Like all F&B colours, there is a richness and depth to Pavilion Gray which a punter will not find that easily in more run of the mill commercial products. Added to which, it's lovely to work with! Can't fault it, really.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection Just what we expected from F & B … reassuring perfection

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Refund/exchange policy If someone is a loyal client and made a mistake with the color (unopened), F & B should allow for an exchange or credit beyond the 2 weeks considering the price of F&B. I had confused Dimpse (which I have on the walls) with Pavillion gray. I contacted F & B very shortly after that and it was denied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Impossible to keep nice Bought this absolutely loved the colour, however whenever we’ve had a mark and I wiped it of it leaves a water mark which I cannot remove. There are also fingerprints which I cannot remove without painting over. Would not expect this after spending all this money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Underwhelming quality When touching up any areas you have to paint the whole wall. Due to this fact I’ve now ran out of paint. I can understand this when a lot of time has passed but I touched up a small area around a month later and the colour didn’t match had to paint the whole wall. The customer service advisor I spoke to say that the fact you will have to re paint the whole area when doing any touch ups is clearly stated on the website. I had a look and it clearly isn’t they mention that you may have to do this not you will have to. Not only is it twice the price of most other brands you need twice as much.
