Exerior Masonry
This warm and contemporary grey has a very popular and famous paint name originally created by John Fowler.
For brick, render and concrete, Exterior Masonry brings super matt, long-lasting colour to exterior walls. Its water-resistant formula protects walls, while also offering the highest level of water vapour permeability to allow them to breathe. Applied in line with our Product Advice Sheets, it resists flaking, peeling, and fading for up to 15 years.
Exterior Masonry is our super-matte, long-lasting finish for exterior walls with a 2% sheen.
Our deeper, richer colours are available in a range of finishes with different sheen levels. Sheen always affects how colour appears: the same shade in gloss can look very different in matte. That’s why we specifically adjust the formula for every finish to make sure the balance is exactly right and you get the colour you were expecting. Our colours and finishes are formulated together, so you simply can’t have one without the other

Plus, our water based paint doesn’t discolour over time like solvent based paints can. So your spaces stay beautiful for longer.

Elephants BreathSuch a lovely colour, it did take me three coats to get an even cover but absolutely worth the effort.

The most beautiful colourI’ve now used Elephants breath in my living room, lounge, hallway, stairs and landing (paired with Strong White). It has the most beautiful warm tone, not too grey, not too pale, not too dark. In the sunlight it almost takes on a pink hue, while at night it provides a cosy warmth.
In general, I love painting with the F&B paints. They go on smoothly, have no odour, and look fabulous as they change with the light throughout the day.

I've always wanted to use Elephants BreathElephants Breath is perfect! My new dream kitchen in cashere was fitted, splashbacks and worktops in place and all it needed was the painting... Elephants Breath is, in my opinion, the perfect neutral! My kitchen was almost entirely in a Greige using the Cashmere on both splashbacks and cabinets. The worktops are a light white-grey, floor mid grey, yet I didn't second guess using yet another neutral for the walls and I'm not kidding when I say it literally brought everything together. This colour is beautiful... rich, warm and classy. I can't imagine ever getting tired of adoring it. Everyone loves the whole colour scheme. For years I've looked at this colour and wondered where it would work best. Now I want to use it somewhere else. I've used with white doors and a warm stone trim, but I can imagine this would look amazing next to everything from navy to burgundy, let alone a neutral scheme. I will definitely use it again. Totally recommend it.

Beautiful colour and finishThis is a beautiful, warm colour. It did need 3 coats (probably best with one undercoat and 2 coats of the paint, as advised by Farrow & Ball) to achieve the final finish, but the end result is stunning.

Used in bedrooms but adds a real depth of greyI first saw this in a colleague’s house and fell in love with the depth of colour and so used it when we moved in to our house. It just hits grey in a different way and i love it. Find me on instagram #yasmininteriorhome

My go to neutralElephant's Breath is my go to neutral. I've used it in my living room for a relaxing shade with substance and just bought some more for my kitchen top cabinets. A great colour that suits almost everything.

Brilliant!!We have just had our lounge chimney breast painted in Elephants Breath, and the other walls in the room in Skimming Stone, all in modern emulsion. We are first timers with F&B paint..just totally over the moon with the finish and results colour wise !!! I was worried about reviews that said the modern emulsion had a high sheen...not the case in our experience thankfully. Definitely recommend the 2 colours, they blend so well and have created a lovely contempary, warm but neutral palette to match in curtains etc going forward....I think the whole house is going to be painted in these colours very soon haha love them! Will add photos soon!

Is it grey? Is it lavender? Or is it a skin tone?Painted my front room this colour 5 years ago, last year I got the decorator back in because we had removed a cupboard door and needed the shelves, back wall and the white glossing painted
My original walls from 5 years ago were still in perfect condition and didn’t need repainting
I did inside that cupboard to match the walls in Elephants Breath and I’m more than pleased with the results
So worth paying for a quality paint because he didn’t have to repaint the walls my decorators bill was so much less

A classic warm greyWe used this colour for an Interior Design Project, it worked perfectly with their existing warm grey carpet. We also introduced the colour to the chest of drawers and architraves. Works best with warmer tones.

Beautiful colour.Absolutely love the colour, however the paints a nightmare to apply. Thank fully I had a pro to do it but even he said it went on badly.
Still, very pleased with finished result, colour is great and reacts to light beautifully.

The paint doesn’t even look like it’s supposed toThe paint consistency is very nice, but the colour is awful. It’s purple, not even close to what it’s supposed to be like.
