A down to earth and grounding blue
This quietly elegant blue feels wonderfully down to earth, so could be used on anything from a kitchen island to an airy drawing room. The exact shade is rooted in a regency palette but is inspired by the cloth of everyday workwear made in the French city Nîmes. Like denim, its blue hue is ultimately fashionable and yet always feels grounded.

Great versatile colour,
I have used this in two locations in a newly refurbished house. Firstly on a kitchen island with dimity as the contrasting colour on other cabinets. Looks stunning.
I have also painted an entire north-facing sitting room with it, including all woodwork, windowsill and ceiling. Works really well, not too grey, definitely a blue but not harsh a really modern/traditional feel to the room.
The F&B pictures do not do it justice. The island colour looks very much like the pictures on the website, could be blue could be grey. In the north facing sitting room it takes on a whole new level of complexity. Really thrilled with results.

Beautiful Colour
We knocked two rooms into one for my teenage son. The rooms are North facing with fairly small windows. I was dubious that Denimes would make the rooms look cold and dark but, as I was fed up of being so conservative with my decorating choices I decided to go for it anyway and used it on all walls. WOW! is all I can say. It looks fabulous. It's not cold and dark at all, it's warm and enveloping and has created the den like feel we were after. Teamed with white woodwork and walnut wooden furniture with black metal trim. Oh and the main thing is my son loves it, so that's a big thumbs up all round.
