Blue Gray

A cool blue grey

With its subtle mix of blue, green and black pigments, Blue Gray creates the most relaxed of rooms that feel as if they have always been there. It is a cooler, more weathered version of French Gray and has the same almost magical quality of gently shifting between blue and grey depending on the light and time of day.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Mid Tones

Complementary white: Shaded White

Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odor, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They also meet child- and baby-safe requirements in accordance with The Canada Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations, Canada Toy Regulations (SOR/2011-17) – Section 23 and ASTM F963 – 17 - Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

Our paint colours are available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely calm colour I have previously used this in my parlour in a dark north-east facing room and it was fabulous against the Wimborne white ceiling and black of the stove and surround. We’ve now moved house and I am using it in the long hall and stairwell in modern emulsion as I’ve got children... who well make mess, need I say more?! The colour is as fabulous as I remembered and can change from a more grey-blue to a sage green as the day changes. This time I paired it with shadow white on the woodwork (it was a stipulation of the conservation officer as planning that it had to be a white and I thought in the hall Wimborne would be a bit too harsh) and was worried it wouldn’t work as it’s not one of the ones F&B suggest, but I LOVE it! The pics are of the hallway areas but they’re still unfinished. But just trying to give ideas of the different colours in the different light. I was also worried it would be too dark but it’s actually not too dark, it feels fresh airy and calm.
