Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour. If Eggshell water it down 10%. I wanted a historic colour that was brown and yet picked out subtle tones of red from the wooden floor. This is a beautiful colour. WARNING * Water it down about 10 per cent. I used this colour in eggshell to paint the kitchen cupboards the same as the emulsion walls. The pigment in this paint dries so fast that it drags when you go over the same area only seconds after applying, leaving horrible results. I was then told to water it down slightly. It completely transformed the painting experience and results. In fact I water down all the F & B Eggshell I use now, so much better. That and using Corona paintbrush from the U.S.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Estate Emulsion leaves patchy finish and absorbs fingerprints I've used Farrow and Ball for 10 years now. I painted a feature wall in this colour and it's very unforgiving to use. Cutting in lines were very visible and touching the finish will leave a finger mark (not very practical with kids around). Even 4 coats hasn't left a great finish. Customer services were very helpful and gave advice about overpainting cutting in lines whilst wet and suggested I should have used the primer. However, I was already overpainting dark red so didn't feel this should be necessary. I'm going to overpaint with modern emulsion for durability and hopefully a better finish. I would think very carefully about buying very dark paint in the estate emulsion finish again.
