A warm and timeless brown
A warm mid brown, London Stone was created by John Sutcliffe for a classic Nash house in Regent’s Park. With its underlying magenta tones, this unassuming stone colour is the perfect accent for each of our Red Based Neutrals. It feels effortlessly modern when contrasted with Dimity, either on walls or woodwork, and utterly timeless when paired with the stronger Oxford Stone.

Worth the extra £s
This is a beautiful colour. The finish is matt and almost a little chalky. Although more expensive, I'm not aware of a better colour selection with this same finish. Loved that there was no smell at all - and the paint dries quickly (2hrs) and you can do another coat in 4hrs. I've never painted interior walls before and it was easy to use - the finish looks great. F and B also send you lots of info and advice so this feels like a special product to receive. I'd definitely recommend getting both the sample card AND then tester pots though - I sampled four colours this way and the best for the job (London Stone) was NOT the one I'd expected to like!!!!

Excellent finish
I'm totally addicted to F&B paint. In my humble opinion there's no other paint like it!..I don't know how they mix the pigments, but it's very unique in the way the colour changes according to the light.
I used London Stone Estate Emulsion on the walls, Archive Estate Emulsion on the ceiling, both of which left a rich Matt chalky finish. I painted the woodwork Archive Estate Eggshell, again a beautiful rich finish with a slight sheen. The two colours complement each other perfectly!
I'm afraid I didn't use a primer or undercoat, as a consequence of which i ended up applying 3 coats!.
