We’re dedicated to perfecting the art of paint. At our home in Dorset, we combine the finest ingredients, 75 years of experience and technical precision to help you create beautiful spaces that stay beautiful. Even in our colour rich paints, less than 8% of the tin is the colour. The other 92% is what creates the quality, depth and extraordinary response to light that transforms your home.
Paint is like coffee. The colour is the froth on the top, but it’s the quality of the rest of the cup that makes it taste good. – Richard Ball, Farrow & Ball Co-founder
We use twelve exclusive pigments, all specifically selected for their colour intensity. We take colour seriously, so naturally, we only accept the very best. By using these same pigments to make every colour in our palette, all our shades combine effortlessly, making it easy for you to put together a cohesive colour scheme.

Absolutely LOVE this colourWe have F and B all over the house - lots of red based colours - dead salmon, smoked trout, Joa's white etc but couldn't find the right colour for the kitchen until spotted this in the archive. Gorgeous colour sophisticated and warm. Thoroughly recommend.

Pink drab penny from
Nice but unexpectedFor my project, I wanted to use a pink color but none of the current collection's pinks were quite what I was going for. It was suggested to expand my search into the archive colors and I found this color, pink drab. As an archive color, I wasn't able to order a sample pot, but after seeing a few photos of the painted color online, I decided that this was the right color for my project. Sadly for me, after purchasing the paint and applying a large swathe, it was not. Pink drab is rather dark and purple, not the light mauve pictured online. It was my folly. I do love Farrow and Ball paint and have used many of their other colors, but this one won't work for this project. I do wish it were possible to order samples or get a small chart of the archive collection before commiting to the whole gallon.
