An aged terracotta
Book Room Red, the muddiest of our reds, is particularly suited to smaller spaces where the stronger Eating Room Red can be a little overwhelming. It takes its name from the reading rooms or small libraries often found in English stately homes, and creates an unapologetically aged feel.
Available in our brand new Dead Flat finish for walls, woodwork and metal.

Best Ever
Of all the Farrow & Ball colours I have tried I like Book Room Red the best of all. And the Dead Flat finish too. The colour because it gives our little sitting room dignity and atmosphere without pulling in the walls. And because it holds its own against the wood trim. And it's warm, and earthy and elegant at the same time. And for the first time since we bought the house six years ago the sitting room has come alive. While the Dead Flat finish is as buttery as the emulsion, and beautifully behaved, and does everything you want it to, and looks like more than just paint on the walls. As if it might turn into felt or cloth if you reached out and touched it.

This colour feels like a warm blanket!
We are so happy with this colour. It gives such a warm, powerful and energetic vibe. Finally something is happening in our living room. But it doesn’t take over.
It seems our furniture is excelling more now.
And the color works well in a room where there is not too much light, to my opinion.
In short, we are in love with this colour!
