When fashion maven and digital tastemaker Sarah Corbett-Winder — better known as the Wardrobe Whisperer — traded city living for the rolling hills of Wales, she didn’t just bring her family, furniture and fashion finesse; she brought a riot of colour, charm and character.
Sarah, longtime devotee of Farrow & Ball, did more than relocate, she reimagined rural living with her signature flair. Teaming up with Colour Curator Joa Studholme, the pair used a considered palette — including both our newest additions and oldest friends — to create a vibrant, joyful family home. Colour and pattern certainly take centre stage.
Entrance Hall and Hallway

Walls: Hay No.37 in Dead Flat | Stairs: Cola No.9918 in Modern Eggshell | Ceiling: Shadow White No.282 in Dead Flat
Stepping through the front door, you're immediately welcomed by the warmth of Etruscan Red — a deep, earthy hue that blurs the boundary between the natural world outside and the curated space inside. Continuing into the hallway, the gentle calm of Hay harmonises beautifully with the staircase painted in Cola from our Archive.
Kitchen

Left Walls: Dutch Pink No.62 | Units: Parma Gray No.27 in Flat Eggshell | Kitchen Island: Singed Red No.G15 in Flat Eggshell Right Walls: Dutch Pink No.62 | Woodwork: Shadow White No.282 | Units: Parma Gray No.27 in Flat Eggshell | Shelving: Danish Lawn No.9817 in Flat Eggshell
Mirroring the old adage, in the heart of this home lies the kitchen. Its harmonious and full of life. Joa recommended Dutch Pink , a warm peach, to wrap the walls in softness, while the Singed Red island grounds the room. Playful pops of Parma Gray on the cabinetry inject a fresh energy, striking the perfect balance between sophisticated style and family-friendly charm.
In the larder, the palette takes a lively turn: Danish Lawn shelves sit proudly above the continued Parma Gray units, adding a burst of freshness to the space.
Living Room

Walls: Duster No.319 in Dead Flat | Cabinet: Sap Green No.199 in Full Gloss | Ceiling: Shadow White No.282 in Dead Flat
Bright, serene and effortlessly soothing, the living room is enveloped in Duster — one of our new, standout shades for 2025. Utterly appropriately, this aged yellow pays homage to the humble cleaning cloth found in homes up and down the country. Paired with soft Shaded White , the palette exudes understated elegance. At the same time, the splash of Sap Green in Full Gloss on the drinks cabinet adds a statement glamour that feels both thoroughly modern and reminiscent of a bygone era.
Children's Bedroom

In her son’s bedroom, the irresistible charm of our Tented Stripe paper takes centre stage, wrapping the room in playful sophistication. Joa continued the pattern seamlessly into the adjoining bathroom, creating a cohesive visual journey that creates calm — perfect for encouraging a good night’s sleep — and captures Sarah’s love of statement design.
