Playing with Colour: Nugget x Farrow & Ball

Playing with Colour: Nugget x Farrow & Ball

Colourful, creative and prepared for play. Three key ingredients for creating a space where children can let their imaginations run wild. With our beautiful, scrubbable Dead Flat finish, your walls will be ready for anything, from target practice to works of art. Plus, with colourful, durable play furniture from our good friends at Nugget, your sofas will be safe from take-offs, mountain climbing and den building too.

We’ve teamed up with Nugget for a duo to delight adults and children alike. Together, we’ve brought four parents’ dream spaces to life with Nugget’s play couches and vibrant Dead Flat colour palettes — all beautiful, washable and play-with-able. Browse each space for ideas to inspire your own transformation.

Ashley’s new space simply sings with sunshine. The aqua Teresa’s Green walls work beautifully contrasted against Nugget’s bright yellow Lemonade couch. Plus, Tallow on the ceiling and door has an ever-so-slightly yellow undertone, bringing a gentle warmth to the room. For a final flourish, Ashley chose similarly sunny Babouche for her storage to turn functional furniture into a playful accent piece.

Stacey wanted her new room to be all about joy. And it definitely delivers. This space couldn’t be any happier. With vibrant Cook’s Blue on the walls and ceiling, the lilac Moonshot play couch and electric Acid Drop on the window frame, this colour palette is bright, bold and beautiful — perfect for playtime.

Who says light colours and playrooms don’t mix? Sticky fingers and scuffs don’t stand a chance against our washable Dead Flat finish. So, Sam chose soft Wevet walls as a backdrop for brighter yellow accents from the Citron mural and Lemonade play couch. Using one of our favourite tips for making a space feel bigger and brighter, Sam used Pink Ground on the woodwork as a slightly darker contrast to the walls.

Michelle’s freshly painted playroom is charming and child-friendly, while also feeling effortlessly sophisticated. It’s a balance that’s not always easy to achieve, so colour us thoroughly impressed. To create this delightful space, she used Au Lait and Sardine from our Carte Blanche collection — two of the more muted shades — alongside the cozy, corduroy play couch. Of course, our Dead Flat finish will keep this space looking picture perfect.
