A colour of unmatched richness and unexpected opulence, Etruscan Red was inspired by the vibrant terracotta sculptures of an ancient civilisation. It’s a firm favourite for those embracing warm and earthy tones in their schemes throughout the home. It’s been increasingly in favour for kitchens, with our Flat Eggshell and Modern Eggshell finishes allowing for its use across surfaces including cabinetry.

It’s a colour that has a special place in the heart of Joa Studholme, Colour Curator for Farrow & Ball. “It happens to be the first colour I ever used from Farrow & Ball - just for a spare bedroom…where I paired it with the slightly lighter Picture Gallery Red … a combination I still favour to this day.”

A Gradient Scheme

“I recently did a scheme where we did a gradient of colour of Etruscan Red with Picture Gallery Red and Marmelo…and that is quite a scheme all in one room.”

A Warm Kitchen Scheme

“I will often pair Etruscan Red on cabinets with Jitney on the walls…and a Tanner’s Brown island to really give it some oomph.”
