A Cosy Bedroom Makeover with Vincent the House

Walls: Smoked Trout No.60; Liberty Interiors Fabric (On Patterned Cushions): Persian Voyage in Jade Stone
You might recognise Vincent the House from a few months back, when we first explored his various colourful corners. Then again, you might not.
That’s because, in celebration of our partnership with Liberty, owners Roxanne and Chris have performed a cosy bedroom makeover on Vincent using a couple of their favourite shades from the Farrow & Ball Curated by Liberty edit.
Before

This spare bedroom already had the potential to be a warm and welcoming space before Chris and Roxanne picked up their brushes and rollers, but the cool grey and white palette simply didn’t bring out the best in the room or its charming original features.

Now, the room has been transformed with warmer and richer tones that will make Roxanne and Chris’s overnight guests feel right at home. Smoked Trout has been taken across both the walls and woodwork, enhancing the warm light that the south-southeast-facing room receives, while intense Chine Green on the dresser adds a hint of depth and structure to the otherwise soft palette.
About The Makeover
“We chose Smoked Trout because we wanted something warm yet muted enough to flow with the rest of the colours in the house,” says Roxanne. “And Chine Green just looked really good next to Smoked Trout – we love the deep green foliage tone it adds.”
Of course, no look inspired by our new edit would be complete without an additional touch of Liberty print. Here, it comes courtesy of the Persian Voyage print from Liberty’s The Modern Collector range, in the form of homemade throw pillows and fabric storage boxes.

In our new edit, we chose the Persian Voyage colourway Pewter to pair with Smoked Trout. Its subtle grey-on-grey print sits beautifully with the pinky-brown paint colour to create a soft and elegant scheme perfect for grown-up entertaining spaces and master bedrooms.
“This room is a creative space, home to all my sewing things, crafts, paints, and plant babies,” says Roxanne. “It’s also a room where our younger guests – our nieces and nephews – can stay.”
With this vision in mind, Roxanne and Chris have customised the combination to fit a space destined for creativity and play. Introducing the colourway Jade Stone gives the scheme a bright and zingy lift, while a second choice of fabric accents in the colourway Lichen offers a deeper take on the look that’s ideal for autumn and winter.
