A Colour Consultancy Transformation with Used Kitchen Exchange

Written on 8th July 2021

When Used Kitchen Exchange customer Gary embarked on his recent kitchen transformation, we were thrilled to be involved in making it happen.

Having chosen his premium pre-loved kitchen from the Used Kitchen Exchange site, it was then up to a small team of individuals – including an expert Farrow & Ball Colour Consultant – to bring it all together in Gary’s home, creating a stunning like-new kitchen in an elegant palette that beautifully suits the space.

HOW IT WORKS: USED KITCHEN EXCHANGE

Used Kitchen Exchange is a trusted online marketplace for ex-display and approved used kitchens. Its estate-agent-like model puts homeowners in touch with private and business sellers, helping buyers to find full kitchens for their renovations at affordable prices, and sellers to reduce their waste by sending quality products to a new home – not landfill.

HOW IT WORKS: FARROW & BALL COLOUR CONSULTANCY

Colour consultancy is our tailored colour advice service, designed to help you create a beautiful home without the stress. Offering a choice of in-home or virtual appointments, our expert Colour Consultants will draw on their expertise, the needs of your space, and your own personal style to help you bring your vision for your home to life.

Of his own colour consultancy experience, Gary says: “They analysed the area and the light, they looked at various colour options and what would fit with the surroundings, and then they recommended a colour scheme. We changed the colours to fit with their recommendations and I think it’s all worked really, really well together.”

A MORE SUSTAINABLE TRANSFORMATION

When it comes to helping homeowners renovate more sustainably, Used Kitchen Exchange and Farrow & Ball are a match made in heaven. Giving an ex-display or approved used kitchen a second life in your home isn’t just a great way to keep your project on budget, it’s also a more environmentally sound option than buying new.

Finishing off with our eco-friendly water based paint finishes (in fully recyclable tins, of course) is another way to reduce the environmental impact of your kitchen transformation.

As well as being low in VOCs and rated A+ for indoor air quality, our paint finishes are available in an incredibly varied range of colours, giving you the freedom to repurpose second-hand cabinets of all kinds into a like-new kitchen that fits your personal style.

Want to give it a go? For kitchen cabinets, islands, and even floors, we recommend our super-tough Modern Eggshell finish. For help choosing a colour palette for your kitchen or any other space, take a leaf out of Gary’s book and give our colour consultancy service a try.
