A guest bedroom is a home away from home. Somewhere your friends and family can settle down, relax and feel utterly welcome. For Roxanne (aka @vincent_the_house) and her guest room, we released our new colours at just the right moment. She colour drenched her space in new , creating the feeling ‘walking into a warm hug’. Roxanne also used our new as the perfect accent. We caught up with her to find out what she thinks of our new colours, our finish and the finished transformation.

1. Why did you choose to decorate?
We first decorated this room four years ago. Since then, we had a leak! It stained the ceiling and walls. We could have painted over the stains with the same paint colours, but we felt like a change. The room’s low ceiling was calling out for some colour drenching.

2. What made you choose our new neutral Scallop for the walls?
We’ve always called this loft bedroom the Pink Penthouse because of the previous wall colour. So, we wanted to keep it pink when redecorating. We chose because its muted pink tone is warm and calming, perfect for a guest bedroom. It’s a dual-aspect, loft bedroom and gets great natural light all day, so we see the warmer tones of the shade. also pairs beautifully with the green accents we’ve chosen for the rest of the room.

3. What do you think about the colour now it’s on the walls?
We absolutely love it — it’s like walking into warm hug. It’s the perfect neutral pink and works beautifully as a backdrop for so many colours like green, burgundy and even ochre.

4. How did you find our Dead Flat® finish?
It’s brilliant! We’ve actually used this finish in our main bedroom, living room, dining room and hallway too. It has great coverage, is lovely to work with and holds up really well in our busy home with two dogs. We love that it can be used on walls, woodwork and metal too.
