Slipper Satin

A chalky off white

This popular off white takes its name from the delicate colour of silk used in traditional ballet slippers. Without cool blue undertones, Slipper Satin often reads as a pale grey chalk which makes for a perfect neutral on walls with darker Old White woodwork. Pair with other shades from our Traditional Neutrals for a subtle and sophisticated scheme.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: Pointing

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous colour After considering lots of F & B options I selected Slipper Satin as the colour I would use on all the woodwork (skirtings, doors, door frames and some shelving) when I re-decorated the house I have just moved into. I am re-decorating the house from top to bottom using an eclectic mix of F & B emulsion colours but the house is relatively small so I wanted to use one trim colour as a unifying theme throughout and all the F & B resources (The Chromologist Insta feed etc) suggested Slipper Satin was a great option and so it has proved to be. I am using it very successfully with Light Blue, Skylight, Pitch Blue, Pigeon, Setting Plaster, Jitney, Skimming Stone, Shaded White and Calke Green. All in all Slipper Satin is a lovely colour which works so well with so many different colours. I use the appropriate undercoat and then 2 coats of the Modern Emulsion which go on a dream. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful warm white I used slipper satin on the panels and whimborne white for the upper walls. It makes the room bright but not cold.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sample Pots I bought two sample pots of Slipper Satin for touching up, can’t understand why Farrow and Ball don’t do small cans of say a litre size or one and a half litres as it’s so expensive to have to buy two and have litres every time.
