A strong blue grey

This cosy and nostalgic blue grey is named after the colour of the bird often sighted around the London landscape. Softer and bluer than more contemporary grey shades like Mole's Breath, Pigeon is particularly suited for use in boot rooms, cloakrooms or darker spaces like studies and panelled rooms. It is also incredibly popular on kitchen islands with the more delicate Dimpse on units.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Mid Tones

Complementary white: Shaded White

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great colours and service We have purchased F&B for a new home and using it throughout. The colours, finish and service in store and when we had an issue with a damaged tin that was promptly replaced has been great. Thanks F&B!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adore the depth of tones Looked a couple of colours for our new master bedroom in our loft conversion, I wanted something cosy yet different and subtle. This ticked the box perfectly. We've paired it with greys and off white woodwork. Really pleased with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Paint and a great colour I moved into a new home . The laundry room was a horrible grey so I repainted it with this. So much better, looks good with green or grey accessories. I painted the ceiling in James White. A quality paint as you would expect from Farrow and Ball.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous colour Pidgeon is a beautiful colour with great depth. It looks amazing on the walls. I was planning to do all over pidgeon but our hall is small with not a lot of light, so I changed the top to Cromarty. I love both. I also had to return some paint and it was super easy. Love Farrow and Ball

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm dark color works well in Eastern facing room Painted small room with East facing windows that is used as a study. The color enhances the artwork and furniture (dark old wood and new white bookshelves) tying the room together without calling attention to itself. Paint is easy to apply and dries to a beautiful surface. We painted in winter with windows closed, there was not unpleasant off gas odor.
