A historic grey green
This soft grey green simply earns its name by being the most historic of all our whites. One of our Traditional Neutrals, Old White can read as a subdued green, particularly in north facing rooms, but feels more of a classic grey in well lit spaces. It’s the most sophisticated of colours and feels just as at home in the drawing room of a historic house as it does in the kitchen of a modern family home.

Brilliant transformation!
Like many other contributor's, I hunted high and low for the perfect paint colour and eventually decided on a calming, 'neutral', sagey green. I spent a small fortune on tester pots, and I saw this on a friend's wall and immediately fell in love with the shade.
I agree, it is more expensive than other manufacturers, but I am delighted with the end result now it is on the walls and am pleased I payed the extra as the quality certainly shows.
I used Light Grey as a contrast on the chimney breast, but to be honest there is little contrast, so I think I will try Mouse's Back instead. My room once looked stark and bare, and now looks warm welcoming and homely.

I never tire of this colour
I have old white on the walls of my hall and landing for the last 6 years and during Easter holidays my husband put up some mock panelling for me so it meant repainting and I stayed with the same colour even though everything needed a touch up. We opted to paint the woodwork the same colour as the walls and I love the final result. In addition we painted the ceiling in Mouses Back which I was a bit nervous of as it’s quite a dark shade and our hall is dark as we have a lot of trees surrounding our home but I needn’t have worried. Also I think Old White is a great shade if you have oak doors, staircase etc. Which we have..I’m thrilled with the overall look. Great paint and Great coverage!
