Green Ground

A pale and fresh green

This refreshing green is a lightened version of Cooking Apple Green, created as a background colour to some of our prettiest botanical wallpapers. The paleness of Green Ground has a calming feel, so is well suited to use in kitchens to create a contented family atmosphere. Often paired with a bright white to enhance its colour, it can also be used on panelling with our darker Green Smoke to create a reassuringly historic look that seems as if it’s always belonged.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: James White

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job perfectly I have used this as a floor paint in the past but have now moved from that house, so was keen to use it in the conservatory of my new house. I didnt like the tiles so I skimmed over with self levelling concrete and after a while primed it and then painted with this paint as the base for my template.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect shade of green I bought Green Ground for my dining room walls and I am delighted with the result. My diningroom looks out onto my garden so I wanted a light botanical green. Green Ground is the perfect shade of green, light in colour yet with depth. It makes a beautiful connection with my garden. I am very pleased with the coverage and finish. I would recommend this colour as a perfect 'natural' shade of green.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it - that’s all! Bought this for my conservatory walls. Beautiful colour which really does bring the outside in. Love the modern emulsion finish as it is very hard wearing, and you can always tell the quality in F&B paint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely fresh but relaxing colour I bought several paint samples and enjoyed testing them on different parts of the wall. Green Ground had the right depth of colour for me to have a green tone but still keep the room looking bright and airy. The decorator has now bought it and I can’t wait to see the finished result. This brand is the best I’ve found for not causing problems with my asthma.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect results every time. According to my friends I am a Farrow and Ball "snob" but even they have to accept that my cottage looks amazing with it's new paint I love the fact that you can touch up scuff marks and the new paint just blends into the old . Also there is no paint odour and the estate emulsion matt finish suits old houses beautifully. I will NEVER be without Farrow and Ball paint.
