Card Room Green

A dark grey green

This dark grey green is named after the study-like rooms much favoured in the Victorian period and is unapologetic in its strength. It really comes alive when contrasted with a warm neutral like Off-White or set against the darker Studio Green, but feels more contemporary when used with no contrasts at all.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Lime White

Card Room Green is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 119.

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A classy green Liked this colour after seeing it on a website and now it’s popping up quite often. Light in some light but a strong dark green in others. Looks great in a Victorian property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect colours! After not knowing where to start with redecorating our bedrooms, I looked on the farrow and hall site to try and find inspiration. We found gorgeous colours and great recommendations of which colours work well together. Now we have card room green and elephants breath upstairs and we love it! Great colours and amazing quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This colour is everything and more! We bought our house a few years ago with an expensive newly fitted kitchen which isn’t our style and too new to rip out. The grey shade, bulky stainless steal handles and dark wood floor just didn’t work. After many hours/ years deciding on a colour, we finally came to cardroom green, paired with brass handles. It has totally transformed the room. Its very quintessentially British with a Persian twist. The paint finish and quality is fantastic, I love it.
