The slightest hint of blue
A subtle white with the slightest hint of blue, Cabbage White takes its name from the most delicate of butterflies. This palest of blues is perfect for rooms that go up into the eaves where you want to use just one colour on both walls and ceiling. This colour really comes into its own when contrasted with All White.

Lovely light blue in North-facing room
I've used Cabbage White in a rather small & dark North-facing bedroom and it is absolutely lovely, a clear but soft light blue which has a luminous effect and made a drab room seem lighter and larger. The feel of it is also beautiful, it dries to a smooth and wonderful to touch finish. Overall, a very pleasing and sophisticated effect.
However I would definitely recommend buying a sample pot first, the same colour is completely different and not very special at all in my South-facing room. Personally I love this about F&B paints, how they change depending on light & size of room, but this does mean that 'try before you buy' is a must!

Gorgeous
I wanted paint for a new bathroom with a luminescent quality to pick out delicate fish with luminescent scales on a border tile. This is perfect. I bought it again for another bathroom which leads on from a room painted with a pale duck egg colour: again, it has just enough depth of colour to be seen but a subtle lightness too. It is beautiful. I bought 'Borrowed Light' at the same time unable to choose between the two. This is softer and warmer. 'Borrowed Light' will go in to our son's bedroom which has huge windows and can therefore cope with the darker shade. Just lovely.
