A lively mint green

Arsenic has a lively, stimulating feel despite its name being derived from the poison that was rumoured to have been in the wallpaper that poisoned Napoleon after his capture. Its vivid mint colour makes it feel just as at home on contemporary kitchen cabinets, especially when paired with Down Pipe, as it does on the walls of a 19th century dining room.

Back in 2010, we moved our entire range to an eco-friendly water base that’s low odour, low VOC and child-safe, becoming the first in the industry to do so. Easy to clean without harmful solvents, in tins that can be recycled again and again, our paints help to reduce the environmental impact of redecorating your home.

Every one of our paint colours is available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Firmly recommended. A bold period colour that’s identical to the lining paper in my Grandmother’s Regency sewing box; they certainly knew a thing or two then as sets off antique furniture to perfection and looks marvellous in stairwells and corridors, if you’re brave enough to apply it that is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning colour Ordered the Estate Emulsion sample pot in Arsenic. Arrived quickly. It was exactly the colour we wanted and true to the colour chart. Vibrant and uplifting. Have since ordered the large tin. It was very securely packed. The job is finished and we are very happy. Thank you F& B.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the colour Sample pots arrived quickly and well packaged. We have decided on Arsenic no. 214 as a feature wall in our 4 year old's 'big boy's room'. Also planning to use the eggshell version on the inside of his door. Will post pictures when the project is finished!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing vibrant colour. We was looking for the perfect colour for our soon to be sons nursery. Are friend had this green in their lounge and we knew it was the colour we wanted. They pre warned us it a more expensive paint and after seeing the price I was a bit unsure as I’d never spent so much on paint before. So I did a lot of research about using colour matches and everything advised it wouldn’t give the same effect so I bit the bullet and decided to go with F&B and not to colour match. And I’m so glad I did. The end finish is what we wanted and the way the paint changes in the light is phenomenal. I’m so glad I didn’t go cheap and I feel if the room isn’t decorated for a few years it is money well spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best!! I used this in my bathroom and I have no regrets! The colour is fresh, zingy but not too over the top. I have never used F & B paint before but will never go back to other paint. The quality is amazing, normally I make such a mess, not with F & B. It's creamy and highly pigmented. I love it.
