A naturally understated grey
Ammonite is named after the treasured fossils often found on the Dorset coast. It has a fantastically understated quality, and sits effortlessly with our Easy Neutrals. Neither too warm nor too cool, its subtle grey tone creates a hushed and calming feel in homes both old and new. Try pairing with All White to accent its light grey feel.

The Perfect Soft Grey!
I'm already a huge fan of Farrow and Ball paint; the quality of their products is outstanding and I've used many of their colours throughout my Victorian house over the years. Ammonite is now my favourite! I've just redecorated my lounge using this colour; a beautiful neutral soft grey without any tinge of pink or blue, it's a warm colour that's not too dark (love Cornforth White and was going to choose that colour, but it was too dark to use in this room now I've had shutters fitted). I'm now thinking of redecorating the whole house in Ammonite! Thank you again Farrow and Ball for another beautiful colour! X

fabulous colour
I have used this lovely grey on walls throughout our new self build - we are fortunate to have many windows and so lots of natural light and it is the most wonderful warm pale grey - no hint of blueishness at all.
As with most F&B colours it alters with the time of day and the light - very pale almost white grey in very bright sunlight to a warm stony grey in dim light. I have teamed it with Wevet eggshell on all of the woodwork and along with dark oak floors it looks amazing - I tried many different sample pots to find the right grey and am totally thrilled with this!
It also looks fab in the kitchen teamed with cupboards painted in in Purbeck Stone which is the perfect complement.
