Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odour, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They are also certified child- and baby-safe in accordance with Safety of Toys Part 3: Migration of certain elements (EN 71-3:2019+A1:2021).

Exclusions: Casein Distemper, Wood Floor Primer & Undercoat, Wood Knot & Resin Blocking Primer & Undercoat, and Metal Primer & Undercoat.

Our paint colours are available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this colour! Sent for the paper swatch first, different to a sample pot but I actually prefer it as you can take it around the room and see how it looks in different lights. Loved the colour so sent for 2 x 5 litre tins to paint our living room and it looks superb! Cosy and warm, it looks lovely in sunlight and with the nights drawing in it will enhance the rustic look of of our old cottage and log burner. Really happy with it,and it went on like a dream.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like the paint swatches ! I really like the paint swatches, but they only seem to be available in the California Collection. It would be great to get swatches instead of sample pots for all the F&B paint ranges, as the sample pots are difficult to dispose of, so not very environmentally friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Tuscany feel Absolutely love the colour. It gives a warm glow to the room. I used as one feature wall, with the three other walls and ceiling painted in Dimity. The result is just what I wanted and has been much admired.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice paint, covered well Bathroom, east facing window. After trying a number of colours went for this one in Modern Emulsion. It was applied over a darker shade and did need two coats, but covered well both by brush and roller.
