Performance

Sustainable ingredients are only part of the picture. How we use them is equally important. We proudly handcraft all of our paint and wallpaper at our home in Dorset with renewable energy, zero waste to landfill and a considered, small batch approach.

Small Batch Manufacturing

We craft paint and paper to transform homes, not to sit on shelves. Despite being an international brand, loved in over 60 countries, we still use small batch manufacturing in line with demand, rather than mass producing vast quantities.

Energy

At our manufacturing site, head office and UK showrooms, 100% of our energy comes from renewable sources such as wind and solar farms. We’ve also made other changes around our Dorset site, including electric forklift trucks and electric shutters to avoid heat loss in the rainy British winters (and rainy British summers).

These changes have already made a big difference to Scope 1 and 2 of our 2023 carbon footprint, with Scope 2 the lowest it could possibly be. You can read about our carbon footprint in full in our Responsibility Report.

Waste

We generate just 180g of waste for every litre of paint produced across our entire Dorset site. We send zero waste to landfill. We even recycle 100% of our liquid waste and process 97% ourselves, on-site.
