Stiffkey Blue

An inky navy

This inky blue is named after the Norfolk beach where the mud, along with the cockles, share a particular deep navy hue. Although traditional in feel, Stiffkey Blue is often used as an alternative to Down Pipe to create a richly dramatic space with a more contemporary finish. When used in well lit areas of the home it will appear much bluer, working wonderfully when contrasted with Ammonite.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Shadow White

Stiffkey Blue is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 426.

Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odor, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They also meet child- and baby-safe requirements in accordance with The Canada Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations, Canada Toy Regulations (SOR/2011-17) – Section 23 and ASTM F963 – 17 - Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

Our paint colours are available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful l Paint, so easy to apply We sent for 6 samples, all looked different than what we imagined, but all so beautiful. As Farrow & Ball advise, always better to see a sample before buying a large amount. We went for plummet in the end as it was for an old Kist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning classy blue I have bought so many tester pots in blues and greens to have my bedroom repainted and I finally narrowed my blues down to either Hague or stiffkey , in the end I chose stiffkey and I chose it because the Hague blue on my walls seemed even darker than I actually wanted where as stiffkey is dark but it is not as severe , I had my decorator paint the room and it is a medium sized bedroom and did take nealry 7.5 litres of stiffkey to perfectly cover my previous white walls , which then became pretty expensive as originally my decorator thought one tin of 2.5 would be enough to do it. . However you do get what you pay for and I include some pics of the before and after painting, the room hasn't been finished with its interior decor yet but u can see how lovely and sexy the stiffkey is

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this colour!!! I bought Hague Blue at first for this room, and then realised a bit too dark for a NE facing room… so used it on another one. Stiffkey Blue is just perfect, goes well will the natural wood, brushed gold accessories, my plants and the Wimborne White on fireplace. Simply Loving it! Although room not finished on the details, the main colour kind of finishes it anyway

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic colour I swithered between Hague Blue and Stiffkey Blue, but am glad I chose the latter. The colour is dark but vibrant, and changes depending on the light. I used the undercoat and primer as I was painting onto wood, and I am delighted with the finish. The wardrobes worked so well, I also painted the shelving units.
