A rich brown based red
This timeless red is based on the rich colour of the magnificent gallery at Attingham Park. A generous helping of brown pigment deepens Picture Gallery Red, bringing a unique warmth and character. As its name suggests, this ruddy hue creates a striking backdrop for works of art, be they hand drawn in crayon or expertly painted in oil.

Perfect for Cosy Period Lounge
We used Picture Gallery Red in estate emulsion for our South West facing Lounge.
It is rich and warm, perfect for cosy winter nights by the fire. Also for relaxing in during summer months. We love how it changes in the light as the day does on and how it comes into it’s own when soft lighting is applied.
We combined with
Joa’s White on ceiling and coving
Archive in gloss on skirting and panels, edged with gold
Oxford Stone on fireplace surround, with Joa’s white on plaster reliefs.
Door in archive, with centre panels Oxford stone.
These colours compliment each other well, with just enough difference to offset each other.

Gorgeous red
Such a beautiful colour with amazing depth and tone. I wanted to paint a feature wall in our slopey ceiling (yes, I think that's a technical term) bedroom and fell in love with Picture Gallery Red when flicking through the handy colour book. I was so delighted with the result that I painted another wall in Picture Gallery Red. And even more delighted that it blended well with my Orwell and Goode in the woods lampshades. We have teamed Picture Gallery Red with Slipper Satin on the other walls and ceiling. All White woodwork. The bed is painted in Off White. Floor boards have come up a treat in Slipper Satin floor paint. Our bedroom is now calming yet warm. We love it.
