London Clay

Our warmest brown

A warm and charming brown, London Clay is loaded with magenta pigment for a rich, earthy hue that creates the most charismatic and elegant of rooms. So named because it is a deeper accent to London Stone, consider using this dark brown in a hall or transitional area to make the rooms coming off it feel much lighter and brighter. London Clay is also the perfect accent for both Elephant's Breath and Charleston Gray.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: Dark Tones

Complementary white: Skimming Stone

London Clay is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 52.

Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odor, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They also meet child- and baby-safe requirements in accordance with The Canada Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations, Canada Toy Regulations (SOR/2011-17) – Section 23 and ASTM F963 – 17 - Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

Our paint colours are available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality! The colour is slightly darker than we thought, I’ll definitely say it’s a warm tone, kind of like milk chocolate with tiny bit of lavender in it absolutely gorgeous! We loved it !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for... One of life's lessons that isn't always strictly true. It is with F&B. First time I've ever spent £100 on a tin of paint, but my goodness, easy to use, unbelievable coverage, silky smooth application, incredible look. We will never look beyond F&B in future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm brown Painted my downstairs toilet and family bathroom this colour. It is amazing. I wanted a dark bathroom and this worked well. One bathroom has a window and the utility toilet does not so very dark in now natrual light areas. Have french gray in the utility and they work well together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from London Clay I used farrow and ball London Clay to paint over one wall in a room the walls of which were all previously painted in Skimming Stone. This is the darkest paint I’ve used and I’m very pleased with the results particularly in artificial light
