Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odor, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They also meet child- and baby-safe requirements in accordance with The Canada Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations, Canada Toy Regulations (SOR/2011-17) – Section 23 and ASTM F963 – 17 - Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

Our paint colours are available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Color to Balance a Formal Dining Room I am very pleased with this lovely color - SAND is a perfect cream which has a hint of brown and supports use with blue, white, dk gold and peach. I used this for the middle of my wainscott panels in my Wedgewood dining room and it was worked perfectly. I also used it for accents on my window headers to help tie the room together. I went through numerous sample cans to get here, and I am thrilled at the outcome. It is truly the perfect color for a dining room surrounded by dk wood floors, a cream formal kitchen. The windows of this room faces a yard with a lot of green....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size sample This is a lovely warm shade but not for me. It was helpful having the colour on a sample sheet as was able to move around the room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Didn’t need a sample pot of farrow a ball, just needed the colour. The paint is always quality and covers with ease. It might be a little more expensive then other brands, but you pay for what you get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour I bought a few colours to use on a small Georgian flat in Bath. I used sand on the walls in the kitchen and salt in the ceiling . Wow what lovely fresh colours .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like it I’m a huge fan of F&B paint and have been using them for the last 20 years. So I absolutely know that the colours represented in the photos on line don’t always represent the real deal. This is the case for “sand” too. In the promotional photograph it looks more beige / pink but in reality it is more warm yellow with a hint of green and leaning into a gold top jersey double cream. Strangely my camera phone doesn’t pick up the pigments as particularly yellow but more beige as well. And of course the colours’ undertones change with the light too. In the evening it is more grey / green (and reminds me a bit of the colour “matchstick”). Regardless, I’m enjoying this new F&B colour and so pleased with my choice. The paint, as always, went on brilliantly (both emulsion and eggshell) with no splatters and once dry has a beautiful, intensely pigmented, mat finish.
