A light cream
This illuminating neutral takes its name from the natural material originally used to make candles. Tallow’s pale cream finish reflects the light brilliantly so it is perfect if you want to lift a darker space or paint one colour throughout a property. The slightest hint of pink and yellow pigment creates a warm but fresh feel which is often very popular in nurseries.

Gorgeous colour
I had this in mind for a bathroom but decided to use it for my porch instead. It's an amazing, living, light-filled colour. Lighter than butter or cream shades, it's incredibly saturated and rich, and like many F & B paints, despite being matt, it glows. It's great as a backdrop to jewel colours. Even in a north-eastern facing room it glowed. My favourite F & B paints are colours you can't find anywhere else, and this is one. Gives good coverage too. I can recommend trying this, it's a unique colour and the usual great quality paint. After 2 weeks it has matted some more (an effect I love with F & B), and it looks positively historical. Great stuff.

If it's good in the Scottish Highlands....
We bought Tallow exterior masonry paint and the stabilizing undercoat 9 years ago for our house which overlooks the sea and takes all the weather . Salt, storm force winds, hot sunshine and lots of rain.
We have just re painted in the same exterior tallow, not because the last paint was peeling, but just for a face lift. We did the painting ourselves and have to say it went on well and looks excellent. On the image, you can see my husband sitting on the ridge painting the chimney pot.
So here's to another 9+ years in some of the most demanding conditions in the UK. So as you can guess, we thoroughly recommend this paint for any conditions...and the colour is good too.
