School House White

A soft off white

This is the lightest colour in the group including Shadow White, Shaded White and Drop Cloth - each created to look like white when used in deep shade. Pared back, timeless and familiar without the cool undertones of the more contemporary neutral groups, this soft off white is reminiscent of the colour used in old school houses.

Recommended Primer & Undercoat: White & Light Tones

Complementary white: Wimborne White

School House White is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 94.

Back in 2010, we moved to an entirely water based range of finishes, becoming the first in the industry to do so. These low-odor, low-VOC finishes are easy to clean without harmful solvents. They also meet child- and baby-safe requirements in accordance with The Canada Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations, Canada Toy Regulations (SOR/2011-17) – Section 23 and ASTM F963 – 17 - Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

Our paint colours are available in a range of durable interior and exterior paint finishes, each rigorously tested to ensure an exceptional depth of colour and long-lasting finish. For the very best results, we always recommend using a Farrow & Ball Primer & Undercoat – see above for the correct tone for this colour.

All Farrow & Ball finishes except Limewash contain isothiazolinones, which may produce an allergic reaction. Farrow & Ball Limewash contains calcium hydroxide which can cause severe damage in contact with skin or eyes. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful paint Used it to upcycle my kitchen table and chairs. Fast drying, durable, hard wearing. Goes on like a dream. Like a warm Ivory colour. Wouldn’t use any other brands again. Love F&B

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Umderstated White A soft muted white colour. Understated and comfortable to live with. As with all Farrow & Ball paint, a little goes a long way, with great coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It changes in different lights it I chose this colour because I wanted something to offset Hague Blue which it did really well, has a depth of colour that means it looks different in different light. Will now look to use it in different rooms around the house!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour I bought a few samples, including School House White, along with Stiffkey Blue, and Cromarty, to try in my new kitchen. I ended up going with Cromarty, but will use School House White in the bathroom - it has a greyish hue to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful colour range I selected some sample pots, ordered the 5 litre pot which will be more than enough and it will en@ble me to paint in a very small room too. I’m really impressed with the all round service online, the assistance with working out the quantity, colours, ideas, matching the colours and coordinated the scheme for the room was very helpful to enable me to create exactly what I wanted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful soft colour Wanted a white that was neither too yellow nor too grey and this didn’t disappoint

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A calm soft white. I repainted two walls in my kitchen, another wall in Worsted. Because School House white is in 2.5 litre tins I used four sample tins which gave good cover with one coat. The Worsted wall was above cabinets so I also used a sample tin. I would have preferred a 750ml tin and wonder why you do not supply this volume when walls are varied colours.
